Big skies, blue water and more sunshine than seems fair. 
Perth is Australia's west coast wildcard. It's got beaches on one side, vineyards on the other, and a city centre that feels laidback but still knows how to put on a show. The sun shines more often than not, and the vibe lands somewhere between coastal holiday and city escape. 

Things to do in Perth start outside. Swim or stroll at Cottesloe Beach, wander through Kings Park for skyline views and native bush, or cruise the Swan River and let the city unfold at a slower pace. Hop over to Rottnest Island for a day of biking, swimming and spotting a quokka that's better at selfies than you. 

Back on the mainland, Fremantle brings the cool with its markets, craft breweries and salty harbour energy. The food scene mixes Aussie favourites with global flavour and more fresh seafood than your camera roll can handle. 

Perth is far from the rest but never out of the loop. It's sunny, easygoing and ready to turn your long weekend into something a bit more memorable. Bring sunscreen, good shoes and a loose plan. You won't need much else.
