Tonga (Nuku´alofa)

Nukuʻalofa is where your Tongan adventure begins. The capital is full of colour, character and friendly locals who are always up for a chat. Take your time wandering through the Talamahu Market, visit the Royal Palace, or grab a fresh coconut and enjoy the ocean views right in the heart of town. 

Things to do in Tonga quickly move from town to sea. Snorkel in crystal clear water, hop across nearby islands or find a beach where the only footprints are yours. Between July and October, Tonga is one of the few places in the world where you can swim with humpback whales — a once-in-a-lifetime moment that's surprisingly easy to book. 

The food is simple and generous. Think seafood, root veggies, and coconut used in ways you didn't know were possible. Island time is real here, and it works in your favour.
